Privacy Plain-English policy Last updated 2026-06-19

Privacy in plain English.

This page explains how Doohickey handles enquiry details, analytics data, support information and website logs. It is written for Australian business owners who want the short version without legal fog.

§01

What We Collect

Only the information needed to respond, scope work, support a client or understand whether the website is working.

Enquiries

Contact and project details

Name, email, company, selected service, project notes, page URL, referrer and campaign fields when you submit a form or email us.

Calls and email

Conversation records

Information you provide by phone or email so we can reply, scope work, support you or keep a clear record of the request.

Website use

Analytics and logs

Basic usage data, device information, referrer, pages viewed and conversion events may be collected when analytics is enabled.

Spam checks

Turnstile security token

If enabled, Cloudflare Turnstile checks whether the form request looks legitimate. Doohickey receives the verification token and technical request details needed to validate it.

Client work

Project information

Access details, system notes, files, screenshots or support records may be handled under the scope agreed for client work.

§02

How We Use It

The aim is practical: reply, scope, support, improve the site and keep work secure.

Reply

Respond to enquiries

We use contact details and project notes to reply, qualify fit, prepare next steps and avoid asking for the same information twice.

Support

Run client work

For clients, information may be used to provide development, maintenance, support, hosting coordination, documentation and handover.

Improve

Understand what works

Analytics and conversion events help identify which pages and services are useful, where forms fail and which launch channels are working.

Protect

Security and records

Logs and project records help manage access, troubleshoot faults, protect systems and keep a clear support history.

§03

Sharing And Storage

Doohickey does not sell enquiry details. Trusted providers may process data where needed to run the website and client work.

Information may be handled by hosting, analytics, email, CRM, form, anti-spam, security, backup and support providers, including Cloudflare Turnstile when the form security check is enabled. Australian hosting and data residency are preferred for client systems where practical, but some website and analytics providers may process information in other regions depending on their service. Doohickey does not sell personal information.

Your choices

You can ask to access, correct or delete enquiry information where Doohickey can reasonably do so. Some records may need to be kept for legal, security, support or business reasons.

§04

Privacy Questions

Short answers about forms, analytics, cookies and support data.

Does Doohickey use cookies?

The site may use essential browser storage and analytics cookies or scripts when analytics is configured. If marketing or advertising tools are used, they are configured with appropriate privacy and consent settings.

Why is there a form security check?

Turnstile helps block automated spam before it reaches Doohickey. The check should be low-friction for real visitors and is verified server-side before a form is forwarded.

Do you sell lead details?

No. Enquiry details are used to reply, scope work, support clients and understand whether the site is working.

Can I ask for my details to be removed?

Yes. Email hello@doohickey.au and we will respond where the request is practical and lawful.
